Underwater world

Popular spots for diving in the Costa Blanca are: Cumbre del Sol, Calpe and at the Penon de Ifach rock. Dive along the cliffs and through caves where you are led from salt to fresh water. The crystal-clear water offers you the chance to catch a glimpse of the underwater world. In the Costa Brava on the coast of L’Estartit are the Medas islands including a protected nature reserve. Admire ancient shipwrecks and numerous fish species here. The best period for diving in Mallorca is from May to October. At Grobe Reef, for example, the reef is covered with multicoloured coral and starfish and moray eels can be found. The same period also applies to Ibiza, when the water temperature is above 20 degrees Celsius. The best snorkelling spots are Punta Galera, Cala Xarraca, Cala Codolar and Cala Conta. For the novice diver, Marina Bay and Marina Wall on the Costa del Sol are suitable spots. At Marina Wall, you will find small caves and inlets, octopus and squid. A little deeper, you will come to Punto de la Mona, famous for its coral and seahorses.
